Unbelievable cocktails. Great music along with excellent service. We were on a work evening, easy to find down in the basement in the old Stock Exchange vault. No expense spared on the fit out. Intimate setting with dim lighting. The staff were excellent, very knowledgeable with the menu and helpful. We tried around 10 of the drinks and they were all incredible. The Chicago Lighting and Butterscotch were personal favourites.

These guys have a good selection of vintage spirits for rare cocktails. Staff have excellent knowledge and take their time in order to make your night special.

After recently visiting blinker bar, i understand why these guys are so successful, you don’t really get another experience like how these guys do it. Going into sterling felt like I was walking into a little spy bar, really nice heating, super dark and relaxed and you really could just sit in here for hours without knowing how much time is flying by.

We came to Sterling for cocktails with our friends. We came after reading all the positive reviews online, and the cocktails did not disappoint! It is a large cocktail bar tucked away in the basement of one of the buildings in the city centre - the service was great with us being seated within 5 minutes. The old fashion cocktail it was perfectly balanced- with great tasting whiskey. I would recommend this to anyone wanting quality cocktails in Manchester city northern quarter.

Amazing atmosphere and live music! I enjoyed a few cocktails and all of them were exceptionally good :) Very nice location as well only takes about 5 mins to get to the station. I will definitely be back here for my special occasion and highly recommended!

Sterling Bar is an absolute gem! I absolutely loved this underground spot the cocktails did not disappoint! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and take their time to make your night feel special. I ordered the Pink Thistle (10/10) and the Lava Flow (10/10) both were outstanding. I also had a glass of red wine: Railsback Freres Cuvee Chloe Syrah 2020 (125ml), which was a solid 10/10 full bodied with a beautiful warmth that lingered on the chest. To finish, I had the Chocolate Truffle (10/10). The flavor was rich and indulgent pure chocolate bliss that left a strong lasting impression. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for top quality cocktails in Manchester.
